Oma and other stuff

Hey everyone. It's about that time again. So pull up a chair and sit down, and now that were already for this adventure as it were. On Tuesday, my mom told me that we were going to have a family meeting at the narrow search and the next day at the hospital where my grandmother is being taken care of she thought that it would be good if I would've come to visit with my grandmother and basically have a date where it could be close to my family. All of her grandchildren were invited, minus my cousin Matthew because he's only 10 his parents don't think it would be appropriate at this point to see my grandmother, because it may frighten him and he may not fully understand what's going on. Which I completely agree with. And when we got there we went right up to see my grandmother. Now I described in my grandmother and how she looked the last time I saw her, which was at the end of March. She looked hundred times better than he did the last time I saw her. It's true that she had more things helping her But all in all, I think she's getting better she actually reached for my hand twice while I went in and around and sat next to her. I was holding one of her hands, but that didn't seem to respond to my touch, but her right hand definitely reached for me twice so I think she recognized my voice even though she'd never looked at me. Then shortly after I went downstairs to talk to my uncle and my aunt, my brothers fiancé actually skipped to important meetings that day just to hear what the doctor had to say, which I thought was extremely nice. Shortly after all that it was quiet time in the ward where my grandmother was from two to 4 p.m. all patients are not allowed to have visitors so for two hours. I will blood-pressure basically sat with my relatives and talked and reminisced about our favorite memories with my grandmother but still, it felt like time virtually stopped for a while. I have no bloke and no computer, which drove me nuts earlier in the day my uncle had said that that the neurosurgeon would meet with us at four o'clock 14 o'clock came around. She still wasn't there so we have to wait for almost another hour before he called us in to the meeting we met in a small conference room that had a small table. I don't think he was prepared for all these people to be in this little room my cousin Mary Jane was unable to make it because she had work. So that was the only person that could have been there and was invited to be there after the introductions were made, he stated that he was amazed that my grandmother has been doing so well with all the sickness that she has and that many people probably would have passed away by now. He said that she came into the hospital with certain symptoms which my aunt vehemently disputed after the meeting of course. She came in with dehydration and low blood pressure. He also said that when she first came in they did a CAT scan and an MRI to my grandmother's brain and its they had originally seen what they thought was a stroke. But they weren't sure. That's what it looked like when she first came in the hospital. Then a couple weeks ago I would say about two weeks. They did the CAT scan in MRI and he said. It didn't look like she had a stroke he said that a stroke after it happens. After a certain number of weeks, the CAT scan is supposed to show a change that's typical for stroke victims. However, he didn't see that in my grandmother's case he thinks it's a tumor. He suggested that she goes in for a biopsy so that we would know in definitely what it was one way or the other he says that the biopsy should be performed in about 10 days afterword. Other options said he suggested making her more comfortable and in a couple weeks and then see if there was any change, because he said that there was an increase of swelling in that area. So we opted for the biopsy procedure and a couple days ago. My grandmother's cardiologist said that that would not be the best thing for her because she's weak and her heart may not be able to take the surgery so you suggested that we just put her on steroids. And if the tumor get smaller, we know it's benign and if it doesn't change or gets bigger. We know it's malignant. So my uncle has to talk to the doctor s'more and figure out what's going on, and she keeps her eyes open more and she seems to be watching TV in her room, but I'm not so sure because. Sometimes she responds to a person and sometimes she doesn't. She may know, you she may not, we don't know, what we do know that she does seem to respond to the German language, because her niece called my uncle and she put this cell phone next to my grandmother's ear and she seemed to understand what was going on, her eyes got extremely big if there was a reaction to her body started moving and she seemed to understand she didn't say anything, but you could definitely tell that something was going on there because her eyes got really wide and she was trying to concentrate and send it looked like she was trying to comprehend what was being said. When my uncle took this cell phone away. My grandmother kind of gave him a what are you doing put that back look on her face so that was very encouraging. So were going to try to bring German tapes into her room for a to listen to and help her in whatever way we can. After the meeting with the neurosurgeon I broke down into tears it was a fairly positive or neutral meeting I was just emotionally spent. And I thought about all the times that I could've went to see my grandmother and I chose not to.

10 1/2 years ago my father died after having a heart attack while he was driving shortly before the accident. I was not the best daughter in the world I often complained of my grandmother that I didn't know why he needed to go see my dad I hated going with him and I just wanted to stay with her instead of go with him. That was replaying in my mind as I was leaving the room. And that's what made me cry. I honestly thought that it was going to repeat itself and my mom reassured me that my dad knew that I loved him and she's sure that my grandmother knows that I love her as well. Whenever I would go into her hospital room. I always say that I got up early, use it just to come and see your because ever since I was younger I wouldn't get up early for anyone, much less my grandmother. Even though I loved her so much so. I talked to my uncle yesterday, and nothing new has really come about, the doctors don't usually work on the weekends so at the end of the day it on the weekdays. I talked to my uncle on asked how my grandmother's doing and she's doing good. She goes in and out of knowing who you are and not knowing. She doesn't talk, but she opens her eyes and she looks around and she recognizes people. Sometimes aware not to her when she does, and when she doesn't
so that's where we are right now if there's any change I will let you all know.

School is going okay. I'm still a little bit behind on some things but everything that I hand in comes back as an A fish is doing the work to turn it in is becoming increasingly hard. But I'm doing the best that I can and my teacher knows everything that's going on almost every day I cry about something relating to my grandmother. And I'm just so afraid of what's going to happen. I bought a new prayer book that I hope will make me feel better because I do have found that of dwelling on things that I can't change I like to call it spinning my wheels hygienist get myself in a rut and I can get out that's when my whole life goes out of control. I know I shouldn't let myself do this, but sometuasimes it's very hard for me to control it but I'm trying because there's only two weeks left in class and now needs to get everything turned in on doing the best that I can

Until next time
Lady Lisa

Hey everyone. I got some news about my grandmother, and it's not good. My mom went to see my grandmother a couple days ago and she was being prepped for another MRI the results of the MRI came back two days ago. It seems as if my grandmother has a mass in her skull we're not \exactly sure where the I know that's not a good thing. And from what my uncle just told me in about five minutes ago it grew I know I was complaining that no news was worse than news but not if the news is bad. So now I don't know what to do they're going to ask a neurosurgeon surgeon. If they can do a biopsy and take it out or whatnot, we don't know what it is we just know it's there. And that it's possibly growing I just wanted to keep you guys up to date on the condition of my grandmother sends a lot of you have given me comfort in this very difficult time. It helps that you guys support me when I needed it in and give me words of encouragement. Please keep it coming they really do help me in my daily life but if anyone can beat whatever she has I know it's my grandmother

Here's a recent picture of her. Shortly before she got sick, about two weeks before actually, her name is Hilde She is 78 years old old, and still going strong in my opinion, except for right now she's very sick. her grandchildren myself included call her Oma which is short for grandmother in German

I'll see you guys later. I thought I'd give you guys a picture to go with the person that I always talk about

School my brother's wedding and other completely random ideas

Hey everyone!!

This week has been fairly interesting for me. There's some good news and there's some bad news about my grandmother. I figure let's start with the bad then head over to the good later my grandmother now has three different types of diseases and one of them is what they call a superbug the only superbug that I know of is thaet turbocharge Beedle. So I guess that means she's really sick, no news there. She's still in the intensive care unit and still on a ventilator, but it's basically helping her breathe. Now on to the good news she's beginning to open our eyes more reflexes are beginning to work. The doctor can put his hands by her eyes and she'll blink, which means she can see, and a couple days ago. She actually recognized my uncle and my aunt, but she still really sick. But thanks for keeping her in your thoughts. By continuing to very much appreciate the support that I've gotten from everyone. I went to a bridal show, early in the morning with my brothers fiancé Amanda. Of course, my brother did in one ago because that's a girl thing and another reason is because she could never get up in time. I must say that I've never ever seen anything like that. They have it in a restaurant which was full to the brim. It had three floors of bridal stuff. Of course they didn't have an elevator that could take me to the third floor so needless to say we didn't stay for the bridal dress and show I've never seen so many people were so much things stuck in a cramped space like that. I'm surprised they even came out of there alive it w. It was insane, Amanda said that upstairs is more crowded than the downstairs. I basically stayed in one spot, the majority of the time it was like bridezilla on parade. Then we did some window shopping, with one passed a bridal store, and we talked about what kind of wedding dress she wanted who was going to be in the wedding. Sweat, everybody was going to do or where it could possibly be held. We even went past a place that made wedding cakes. Her parents came over yesterday, who I love to death by the way. Adam and Amanda my mom and her boyfriend and Amanda's parents spend most of the afternoon and evening together. Looking at two a ch churches where they could possibly have the wedding day also went out to dinner at our country club of course I wasn't invited. Not that there was anything wrong with me not being invited, but my mom did have a point every time we go somewhere the majority of times. I've become the center of attention, which is very true soul. I knew that they were going to talk about serious wedding plans. So they brought me something back from the country club.

Schools the usual, I am handing in a homework and things however, my mom discovered that I didn't exactly do what I was supposed to over spring break okay. I should rephrase that I did absolutely nothing in terms of handing something in after break was over. So as of now I'm on probation yet again. And just when my mom was beginning to like me again to do one thing I have yet to figure out about myself is why I do what I do every one gets frustrated with me because they know I can do things, but I just choose not to because I'm a lazy bum so anyway, now it seems as if everyone is mad at me for one reason or another. Needless to say in my mom isn't around. Okay clarification is needed at this point. My mom came home on Thursday after she visited with my grandmother in a hospital and was basically around on Friday and Saturday and left around 10 a.m. this morning, so I should give her points for when she was here and I do. However I still think we're just a mailing address the truth be told now she is in Long Island visiting with some of Stephen's family.

I found out that my grand little Jess successfully pledged phi Sigma Sigma so congratulations are in order. I'm beginning to think there may be hope for me to join the sorority yet. A lot of my friends are doing it now. And they seem to be more receptive to community service fraternity members to cross over to social and vice a versa. As you know, I still want to join a social but I'm in no position right now to even think about doing so. My GPA is well below the requirement to actually join. And I'm pretty sure my mother would kill me if I even asked or even thought about the possibility at this point. So I think I'll wait. Maybe next year in the spring however, you guys will be the first to know if anything happens it will certainly help my chances that some of the members are in my fraternity. Who knows I may get my wish after all. No harm in trying I like to meet new people and make new friends

Until next time

Hey everyone

I hope everyone who celebrated Easter had a good one. I basically did nothing except catch up on schoolwork and worry about my grandmother is usual

It has been an entire month since she entered into the hospital. It seems like she takes four steps forward and two steps back. Or that she doesn't change at all since yesterday was Easter, I decided to accompany my mom and her boyfriend to go to see my grandmother in the hospital since basically the rest of my family's been there a lot during the last four weeks. Let me tell you a was not a pretty sight to see yesterday. The last time I saw my grandmother she basically looks relatively normal with the exception of having a mask over her face. When I entered her room I honestly didn't believe my eyes. I glanced at my mother and said where's Oma and then she pointed to the bed. I was utterly shocked at what I was seeing it was like seeing a skeleton sleeping. That was not my grandmother. It looked like this really old man who was asleep in my grandmother's room. So needless to say after we left a littl.e while later I broke down in tears and said that it was so unfair and she looked horrible. Now, everyone tells me that she was about 200 times worse. Two weeks ago, and that the way that she looks is a vast improvement on her condition because of her kidneys are now working. So I guess I'll just have to take their word for it.
I don't know if I'd mention that shortly after I left from seeing her the last time. She crashed for a minute and they had to resuscitate her. And there was a point where we didn't know where she was bleeding from but we knew she was bleeding from somewhere. I think it was on Friday that the doctors finally decided that they needed to take my grandmother for a CAT scan, because she still remained unresponsive they said that when they move for around. She opens her eyes, but they're not sure what exactly it means. So any way to test results came back today, scan showed a fuzzy spot, which the doctors aren't sure what it is. They think she could have either had a minor stroke or she has a lesion on her brain. A MRI was just performed today. So they don't have the results back from that test. They also discovered that my grandmother has more than one blood clot in her body. They originally only found one and it was below the knee, which didn't really concern them, because it was in close enough to any vital organs to cause any danger. However, it is recently moved, so they have to catch it before it does any serious damage to her.

I was literally amazed during the past week at how much work I was able to get done. I had been putting off quite a few of my homework assignments, and I actually managed to get something done despite all this happening. And I turned it in today and my professor was quite pleased. It was five pages or thereabouts answering several questions. Hopefully I can continue doing what I'm doing now that I've gotten some of the momentum back. It takes my mind off my grandmother, at least for a couple hours while I'm doing my homework. I always tell myself that, while she's in the hospital I am concentrating because she would want me to go on as if she was not in the hospital my grandmother was not very pleased with me because I was not doing what I was supposed to be doing the previous semesters and those incompletes have to be dealt with.

Now on to some of the stuff I've been thinking about recently.

I don't know if any of you guys know this but I am utterly obsessed with three soaps all my children, Days of our lives, and of course the all-important General Hospital now it's no secret that this genre is in serious trouble for some time now.

Now I'm talking about ABC daytime in particular at this very moment, first of all we have in and complete idiot in charge of programming for this medium who thinks that he he can make viewers, like the storylines. When we all know that that is total BS and the ratings have proved this point over and over again. General hospital used to be the greatest soap opera on television in the 80s it was always number one. Not so much anymore, now it's basically a skeleton of one of the greatest soap opera is ever to have graced many television screens.
The stories were drawn out, unrealistic it and many of the characters don't have enough interaction with the veterans that keep the longtime viewers coming back the writing is horrible the characters don't stay true to themselves are very long if ever so many viewers like myself decide that they you won't put up with it anymore and just stop watching. I would say that since the summer of 2006. I have not watched General Hospital on a consistent basis. They tore my favorite couple Jason Morgan Samantha McCall to smithereens just so that they could put another couple. Elizabeth Webber and Jason Morgan together because they had a one night stand. That resulted in a child and not only was my favorite couple thrown to the wolves in the name of a supposedly great story line. Other characters were ripped to shreds as well. Now we're supposed to believe that Jason has been secretly in love with Elizabeth in the past eight years since they first broke up. Not only is that a slap in the face to the fans that love Jason and spam. It's also a slap in the face to the individuals who enjoyed the pairing of lucky Spencer and Elizabeth Webber. When Jason and Sam were together in the ratings were much higher than they are now. The storylines were much more interesting and much more realistic. All I can say is that they know what's good for them they'll put Jason and Sam back together, and soon or else there will not be a General Hospital for much longer.

Until next time

Hey everyone!!

A special thank you to everyone who commented about my grandmother. It really means a lot to me when you guys do that.

Okay so my grandmother finished the antibiotics to help her with the E. coli her kidneys started working again which is a good thingshe's not on dialysis anymore because her kidneys are working however after she was done with the antibiotics come to find out that the antibiotics killed all of the things that help her stay healthy. So now she's sick again and this time we all have to wear hospital garbs masks and gloves to even entered the room. She still sedated.. not taking as much medicine and she was before however it's still very much touch and go she still very sick I haven't been to visit her in over a week. I feel horrible about that her and I used to be so close when I was little however it got really has changed I would say the within the last 10 years I was oma's little girl I would go over her house every single weekend from about the age of 14 to the age of 21 even though I'd go see her every weekend we were never really as close as we used to be because I come over every single weekend to see her that she would be on the computer for hours on end while I was sitting in the kitchen watching TV. More recently and we got even more distant when she became sick or around Thanksgiving we were beginning to build up our relationship a little she would always ask me why I wouldn't come over on Sunday for Sunday dinner with the my uncle and my cousins and to everyone in my family minus my mom to she's busy doing other things

when I started the rider University in 2004 I joined a international community service fraternity called Alpha Phi Omega shortly thereafter their meetings were on Sundays and for a while I had in the executive board position it wasn't mandatory but I was at every meeting but you couldn't miss too many. Plus I like doing things with the fraternity it was a big part of my life. However knowing me I was never satisfied with just being a member of one club so then I joined the psychology club I was their public relations person for a year. But I was not at all satisfied with my academic activities. I At my University we have four social sororities, Delta Phi Epsilon, Alpha Xi Delta, Phi Sigma Sigma, Zeta Tau Alpha I was determined to join one my top choices choices were Delta Phi Epsilon and Alpha Xi Delta and they still are the houses are fairly similar houses meaning organization I rushed for two years meaning rushed for times and never got a bid (invitation to join the group) one day I would like to try again but not at this point in time. On the up note a lot of the sorority sisters have joined my fraternity one of our newer members is actually the president of one of the socials so who knows it may be possible.

Class is going good I got my midterm grade back C+ I'm on spring break right now I go back next Monday I have some work to catch up on for class and a project which is due within the next couple weeks but I'm sure I'll be able to have a little fun along the way

I've even managed to lose a few pounds here and there I don't have much fried food anymore I guess that helps and as I said my brother is getting married within the next 18 months no date has been set so it could be a little longer than that.. you guys will be sure to know all the nitty-gritty details as soon as I know

Spring Break 08
Let the good times roll

Hey everybody,

Where to begin I guess it will be nice to start at the beginning. On Thursday my grandmother was driven to the emergency room prior to Thursday my grandmother had gotten sick again. She wasn't feeling very well and was dizzy and generally speaking rundown with a cold something that she has had quite a few of in the past couple of months that started at the beginning of the week. My aunts made chicken soup for my grandmother the week before when she found out she was sick apparently my grandmother went to the doctor and he prescribed some medicine for her to take a couple days after that she went back to the doctor and got a clean bill of health. The doctor said that she's probably still fighting off whatever she was sick with however it was then anything to worry about she was on the mend however on Friday she was basically incapacitated because she was violently ill so my uncle drove her to the hospital when they got there she was suffering from pneumonia she was so dehydrated that her kidneys shut down on Friday morning I went to class as usual I was worried about my grandmother of course because I knew that she was taken to the emergency room before class even started I found out that she was in the intensive care unit so needless to say I was wanting to get to my grandmother's bedside as soon as I possibly could. When I got there she was wearing a breathing mask that would force oxygen into her lungs she couldn't breathe enough oxygen by herself so they put this mask on her that would force the oxygen into her lungs I stayed there for about two to three hours and shortly after I left I found out that they had put her on a ventilator because her body was not able to sustain itself while fighting off whatever infection she had while they were transferring her onto the ventilator her heart actually stopped beating for about a minute I didn't find out until I got home currently her situation hasn't really changed her kidneys are starting to work again but not as well as they would like so they're going to keep her on a ventilator and keep her sedated. She developed a fever the doctors say that that's a good sign because that means that her body is on the road to recovery since she had been in the hospital they couldn't figure out what exactly her illness was a couple days ago they realize that what she had was the E. coli which can make you very sick if not treated you could actually die from it I don't know how my grandmother got exposed to the bacteria I know that E. coli is in your stomach and that helps with digestion but E. coli is also very bad as well so needless to say my entire family is worried sick about her one person from our family stays with my grandmother and all times the doctors said that it would be good if we did that because she is in critical condition so far she's responding better to the medication so they're trying to lower her dosage but she's still not out of the woods by any means I'm still dealing with the fact that I can't be with her and is very hard for me to do with the fact that my grandmother is on a ventilator. To top it all off I have my midterm on Friday which I am completely not ready for. So as a result this past week and a half has not been a picnic for me and my family

Until next time

Hey everybody,

I pleased to report that this year is not as bad as I thought it would be. Since the semester has started in my class I have gotten one A- and two As. Which makes my grade point average for this semester so far an A. my birthday was a good, my mom and her boyfriend (they're back together again.) We went to a Japanese restaurant for Sunday before my birthday and on my actual birthday it wasn't my original idea to go to the same place. It was my mom's boyfriend's idea. so I went along with it. All in all I give my 25th birthday a B+

You may ask why I gave it a B+ the answer is simple but complicated, well my life has been great thus far there are some major issues that are in the undercurrent of my life. I wanted to be married by now. My mom got married when she was 25 and had my brother when she was 27. Obviously that's not going to happen, another big issue that I'm still dealing with it is my relationship with my biological father. He died 10 years ago I was 14, and we didn't have the closest relationship in the world I didn't see them that much only a couple times a year I really didn't like to hang out with them on that much because I thought he loved my brother more then me so I didn't sleep over his house the last couple times he came to pick us up I did go to the movies with them and my brother but I think I'll regret that for the rest of my life. Speaking of me wanting to get married by now, three male figures are going to be missing from my wedding my dad, my step dad who I called dad also and my grandfather when I was little I invasioned little of my dad's walking down the aisle at the same time one on each arm however that's not going to happen now and that makes me really sad but I'm not only sad for me but more importantly for my children. My children will not know three incredible human beings that I had the pleasure of calling family for so many years, they won't know them personally and that's what gets me so upset. They'll only know what I tell them. Stories of my biological dad lying on the couch and only saying that he wasn't sleeping he was just resting his eyes or the fact that we used to play a shamo in the swimming pool in the summer and how much I giggled when he actually tickled my feet . Daddy Clark taking me to Disney World for my 11th birthday the at Cinderella's Castle and we were seated right next to the door that she was going to come out of so I was the first one she talked to and and see. And so many others one of my favorite memories of my grandfather was actually a after he had his aneurysm and he and I used to share Oreo cookies with each other and the he was the only one I could be on any Nintendo came in we played together he would get so mad, because I always won and I kind of rubbed it in his face a little. But what do you want from me on in a wheelchair and I only have one hand to play video games with he never used to want to play with me because I would always win and he would always lose and he knew that from the get-go

Until next time
leave comments if you wish

Hey guys,

This time of year I always take quick stock of my life my birthday is on February 13th if you must know I was born in 1983 so that means I'm a quarter of the century old I thank God that I'm not the oldest child I'm actually the youngest my one sibling Adam is turning 27 on February 4 so for nine days he is officially three years older than I am but his fiancée is three days older than him which means she was born on February 1 at the end of January my aunt by marriage has a birthday on the 22nd and on the 30th it's my grandmother's birthday. In addition, I have multiple cousins who were also born in February. at the end of February none of my family members that I known how the birthday except if you count my the best friends three of my many best friends that I have were born in February I guess they really wanted to have a February baby okay while technically I was supposed to be born in the beginning of May. So tomorrow at 121 in the morning it is the minute I was born one I took stock of my life I liked what I saw it was a pretty great 25 years or technically 24. One can only hope that it gets better

Until next time,
comments = birthday wishes

Hey everybody,

Spring 2008 semester has already started. It started on Monday my first class was on Tuesday. I'm taking constitutional history the professors really cool it's one hour three times a week Tuesday Thursday and Friday. But also I will be around campus finishing the work that I still owe practically everyone okay maybe that's a little extreme. But I'm half expecting people to come after me with pitchforks and torches. Every week, on Fridays we have to hand in discussion questions as part of our participation grade I'm happy to report that I've done in a lot of these questions already so I don't think I'll have a problem with that. I'm still working on my take-home midterm I completed 66% a couple of days ago and something happen with my computer and basically I lost 33% of the midterm that I had worked so hard on all those hours I almost had a heart attack it amazes me how much we rely on technology and then when something happens because their machines we think of throwing ourselves though the window rather than redoing what we just did. A lot of my family members just tell me that I should just do it and not complain about it because complaining wastes energy and time but as you guys probably already know it's not easy for me to let something drop basically I store in my mind for later use to be pulled out at a moments notice as proof when something goes wrong my changes are more painful okay technically the word painful doesn't work in his sentence but to me this I recently got my cholesterol results for my doctor and basically it's very high one hundred Points higher than it should be.so my mom basically ordered to me it not to have too much fried stuff. Basically my doctor asked me the all-important question is do I want to die early the answer is no but I like what I eat. And another thing about this is that whenever a I'm going to die I can't do anything about that really.

Til next post

It's the second week of January. I'm working on the midterm that I owe my professor from last semester. I wrote him a message after I finish the final and said I didn't have the notes and is there a way for me to get a copy of the class notes it's been a month and no response or at least no one has left me a message through e-mail phone or anything so I decided to use my textbooks and no notes because I don't have them this was a take-home exam so he allowed us to add more sources if we needed to I'm happy to report that I've officially done 33% of the exam and that was the identifications which is 10% of the midterm the first part is worth 50% the second part is worth 40%(answer two questions each equaling 20%) we figured out what was wrong with my mom's boyfriend it turns out that he has heart problems he has some blockage in his heart but not enough for surgery so we dodged a bullet there. My mom and her boyfriend are officially trapped under a mountain of snow that fell in Massachusetts within the last couple days and from what I hear New England is notorious for blizzards as in chains on tires so from what I heard from my mom they're going to be trapped there are for at least a couple more days if not more. And I told my mom about the midterm fiasco and surprisingly she didn't kill me she's just proud that I'm taking the initiative in completing it true, my mother frequently has to light a fire under my ass in order for me to do something and yes I am almost a quarter-century old but sometimes it takes me awhile for me to get motivated enough. It was very different when I was in community college I just sat down and did what I had to do and the grades proved I knew what I was doing I was inducted into phi Theta Kappa honor Society for two-year colleges but once my mom wasn't with me in class or on campus while I was in class I seem to have taken a nosedive in the academic endeavor department. The classes that I have completed I get a B- average for every class but there are so many incompletes that I'm nowhere near that B- average and I'm not afra sugarcoating this in any sort of way. This is real life more importantly it's my life okay that's enough of my depressing life that I am screwing up as we speak I have a present for you guys

I have a recent picture of me that was taken on new years the other person in the picture is my cousin Christine

I'll see you guys later

2008.. I don't like it so far

It has been a week since the new year started, and I'm not like in the way it started out.

First, I found out that my helper Margaret's older sister passed away in Kenya. While Margaret's here taking care of me. Also in Kenya there has been quite a few riots in dealing with the political angle over the new president think 2000 election except a thousand times worse the whole country is at a standstill. No one can go to work thousands of people have been injured hundreds have died. Margaret keeps in contact with her family and their okay at this point.

Then come to find out over the weekend, one of my mom's boyfriend's nieces died of unknown causes. Hopefully they'll find out some answers and it will bring peace to their family.

I also found out on Friday and my uncle had to put one of his dogs lucky to sleep after he had a stroke. He had the stroke a few days prior and he had stopped eating and drinking and couldn't move. He was 16 years old, his mother was one of my dogs so as a result all the dogs that she had in her one litter there were seven puppies that I took care of for a few weeks after they were born three of those puppies have since passed on Samson, Clyde, and now lucky

My mom's boyfriend is going into the hospital to have some very serious tests done tomorrow morning. He is the picture of health and only takes vitamins he is not on any sort of prescription medication so my moms worried about that.

Also my brother and his fiancée are worried about getting thrown out of his apartment I have to get my mom to sign his lease tomorrow

In case you're keeping track, that's three deaths, a possible health problem, and one potential eviction.

I talked to my brother today he actually called me the angel of death. I know he was probably trying to be funny but I didn't appreciate the timing. He knows I'm sensitive but I guess he was trying to make a joke out of the entire situation since the only thing I was doing was giving him bad news.

But I was also quick to point out that if I was the angel of death. I'm pretty sure he'd be the first to go and he wholeheartedly agreed.

So the first week of 2008.. ended badly

Now the question is will it continue?? Because I know if I say the words it couldn't get any worse it will, here's hoping that my luck will turn around and 2008 will turn out to be a very successful happy and prosperous year for all of us.

it doesn't look so promising
only time will tell

Till next time

Happy new year everyone!!

I know I haven't written anything in two weeks but I've been really busy.

On December 7 I went to my fraternity banquet it was so much fun I met a lot of cool new people. And I hung out with my little and my grand little.
Everyone said that they look forward to seeing me next semester.

I had an awesome Christmas I got lots of gifts good ones I got a new camera and an Xbox 360 which is really cool. Those are my two favorite Christmas presents.

And yes I am working on my reports that I owe professors. I've decided it's come time for me to get off my ass and actually do something with my life. I know what you guys are thinking it's about damn time but it always takes me longer to listen/realize that I need to change.

I'll put some of the pictures that I took with my new camera on here soon you can also see a bomb on my space. The newest photos are in the front of the slideshow.

I also got told by my doctor that I need to change my lifestyle my cholesterol is through the roof. And my father died of a heart attack at the age of 48, 10 years ago. His brother and father also died at a young age. My family and I always get into fights about my weight, since I'm confined to a wheelchair I don't burn as many calories as everyone else for that simple movements to burn more calories than everyone else but with me I eat more than everyone else and I don't and move that much. And also I've been experiencing pain in one of my hips years ago my doctor said that my hip was coming out of the socket again so unconcerned about that because I had hip surgery 18 years ago I was in a full body cast from my armpits to my toes for three whole months I missed a lot of school because it after the cast came off I had to go to a rehabilitation center for a couple months also because they after awhile your muscles begin to shrink in size as a result you have to do major exercise to curb the atrophied muscles. I've had a total of eight surgeries or more on my body I had my tonsils while they took out my tonsils they also put tubes in my ears and did something to my nose. All my other surgeries were on my legs I have a condition called cerebral palsy. Which basically means that I have a problem with my muscles and how they work basically my body fights itself a lot my muscles actually can pull bones out of their proper place.

Until next time

Lisa

Hi guys,

I went to a concert on December 14 which was Friday it was at Madison Square Garden. It was hosted by Z100 and my favorite radio station which is based in New York. I've been going to this concert for years in addition to jingle Ball they also have Zootopia in the spring I lost to go to both of those concerts they've had very popular acts come on stage and perform some of the popular acts that they have had perform include Avril Lavigne, fall out boy, Backstreet Boys, bowling for soup, five for fighting and many others.

The concert this year featured boys like girls, Avril Lavigne, fall out boy, Backstreet Boys, Timberland ft onerepublic, Alicia Keys, Jordan Sparks, Colbie Caillat, and Jonas Brothers

Highlight(s) of the show:

Backstreet Boys mini concert that lasted 30 to 45 minutes.

Jordan Sparks performing on her birthday was pretty cool she shares her birthday was one of z100 morning DJs John Bell.

Fall out boy's performance

I still find it hard to believe that howie left his new wife home. After he had just gotten married a week or two before the concert.

Avril Lavigne's performance

Cutest moments of the show:

Timberland brought his son Bradley on stage he turned five on December 15 the day after the concert.

Disappointment (s) of the show:

the appearance of Onerepublic even though I did really enjoyed them singing apologize.

Colbie Caillat's performance.

The garden wasn't really all decked out last year they had a slede in the middle of the venue it was pretty cool.

Final Grade:

It was still an A+.
Best one that they've had yet.

I'm on Winter break right now, however won't be much of a winter break after the holidays because I still have a lots of stuff that I owe professors so in other words I'll be working my ass off.

I know I know some of us have finals coming up (contemplating throwing myself out the window) and I have one class if I had three more I'd be so out of here but then again maybe not ;) it's snowing here in the wonderful state of New Jersey. Okay wonderful is a bit of a stretch how about boring?? That sounds much better, I know some people say how can New Jersey be boring we have the Atlantic City and you're close to Philadelphia and New York. How in gods name is that boring? I've been asking myself this pretty much since I was a teenager and I've lived in this grand old boring ass state for my entire life thus far and I still have no idea why it's so boring here. If I figure it out I'll be sure to let you know. I'm hoping I can go to jingle Ball this year it's concert sponsored by some companies and it's really fun it's z-100 annual holiday concert let's see who's going to be there the Backstreet Boys, Jordin Sparks and those are just two of the major acts that are going to be there. And you guys know how obsessed I am for the Backstreet Boys, and I mean obsessed. I hear howie's married or getting married very soon. So congratulations are in order as far as I know there's two boys left and one of them is mine. Let's forget that he doesn't know I exist but one thing at a time. Unless I find another boy who is just fabulous which is a good possibility because I'm not sure I could ever meet AJ. I don't have a boyfriend right now so I have to do something about that I still have a thing for one of the guys that I went to high school with. I will tell you that his name is Tony, and I'm pretty sure he had a thing for me to.

hey everybody, it's been a long time since I last posted a line has been going on in my life, my grandmother has been really sick for about a month for a while we thought she was gone I have to go in the hospital she couldn't get out of bed she was that sick. But thank God she didn't have to go on the hospital however there is at this very moment she can only eat chicken soup and bagels. Before now she could only drink.

In happier news, my brother proposed to his girlfriend of 11 years! On the 17th of this month I finally get the sister I've always wanted. They have it on videotape I haven't seen it yet but I hear it's really romantic. They already asked me to be in their wedding. I'm probably going to be a bridesmaid. I always knew that they were going to get married. Hopefully I can help her plan the wedding or a be a bigger part of the process like help her look for flowers or something. They don't know when the wedding is going to be or where it's going to be up for that matter. I hope to actually bring a date for the wedding even though I don't have a boyfriend or anything.

Until next time,
comments equal love

Hey guys its me again and it's time for an update I am not a happy camper. First of all the Red Sux won the World Series. For the second time in three years they sweeped the Rockies. So needless to say I as a New York Yankee fan am pissed off. They named the new manager for the New York Yankees it supposedly is Joe Girardi. Reportedly, Don Mattingly is not happy because he wanted the job very badly. on the same subject Alex Rodriguez has opted out of his contract with the Yankees before the World Series was even over so he has now become a free agent reportedly son of George Steinbrenner says that he will not pursue Arod for next season obviously he is going to have any major cut in his salary because when we acquired a rod the other team offered to pay arod 10 million for 10 years. torre will be on David Letterman, so check your TV listings. I don't think he will say anything bad against the Yankees. I have no idea what the prognosis is for the Yanks we will have to see..

More later...

My puppy and George Steinbrenner

Hey everybody I know I have been updated in about two weeks sorry I've just been really busy looking after a puppy is really hard work but totally worth it. Her personality is really starting to come out now. She's into everything and she loves food she always seems to be trying to eat something yesterday was a tossup between some change and a dog treat it with a really hard decision she also tries to eat her little harness that she wears.

Now for the rants

My biggest rant would have to be the current state of the New York Yankees. Even though Steinbrenner offered Joe a new contract it was basically a slap in the face for all of his hard work in the last 12 years. Let me start from the beginning this whole disaster started because Steinbrenner was quoted as saying, if the Yankees loses the third game in the American League division series felt would be outright fired from the organization. Then he further insulted Joe by giving him a 30% salary pay cut conditions to him getting more money I am so furious right now besides we might lose some of our valuable players such as Alex Rodriguez and Posada.

Till next time
comment please

A lot has happened since I talked to you guys my cousin Mary Jane was in a car accident on Friday. She fractured her pelvis in two places. What happened was she was pulling out of the parking lot where she worked the light was yellow so she thought she had enough time to turn however when she pulled out a car came out of nowhere proceeded to hit her on the driver side of her vehicle to speed limit for that area was 35 and we really the person was going much faster than 35 they had to cut off the driver side door just to get her out she blacked out when she was in the car and I heard that if they air bag didn't deploy she would probably have massive internal injuries and would have died however thank God she didn't have any internal injuries beside a fractured pelvis on the left side. She was released Sunday, yesterday, I went over to my uncles house to see how she was doing thank God my grandmother had some of my wheelchair your stuff at her house because my cousin can't really get around to well.

In happier news, we got a new Yorkshire terrier puppy about a week ago it's a girl she's four-months. We named her Daisy. With the newest addition this brings the number of dogs back up to seven and my mom had told me that we weren't in a get a new dog to replace Samson. First of all no one can replace any tell animal though we lost it's just impossible. However yesterday when my mom was in New York with her boyfriend at his apartment the two younger dogs, Angel and Daisy got into a fight and Angel bit of a small puppy and now the small puppy's eye is injured. So as a result of this altercation Angel will be spending some time with me at home in Princeton with our other five dogs.

Last Thursday I was invited to a barbecue by one of my friends it turned out to be a rush event for Delta Phi Epsilon at this point in time I'm not really interested in rushing I just went to meet new people and hang out with my friends if they give me a bid to it's good for a year or so I don't have to take them up on it right away I have way too much stuff to do this semester anyway but the girls were were nice a lot of them didn't recognize me because I haven't officially rushed over I guess a year and a half so a lot of the people I knew graduated Stacy the girl who's in my fraternity is a member of that house I've talked about her before I found out that some of the members dealta phi epsilon want to pledge my fraternity which I thought was a good idea. However Stacy is she afraid that she'll be biased towards the girls that are in her house if they do pledge our fraternity. I don't see why she would have a problem with them joining. Stacy is very good at her job in our organization I have complete faith that she could remain objective. True she couldn't have a little because she's the pledge master. But some of the girls are definitely very serious about wanting to join.

I watched the season premiere of Gray's anatomy it was good there were only several things I didn't like about it one of course was the relationship between George and Izzy. Where they both said that they loved each other. George is married to Callie how could he tell is he that he loves her and Callie is first project is to have the child with George it would suck if Callie just got pregnant and George breaks up with her I hate George and Izzy together. Now Alex and Izzy back a couple I could get behind. Now what's up with Derek and Meredith relationship after the whole choose me story line they throw this at us? At least they're still getting it on hopefully this sex and mockery thing just doesn't fulfill either their lives and they realize that they're meant to be together.

Until next time

Comments equal love so leave them

I am totally in love with the new Backstreet Boys song on their upcoming album. The song is entitled happily never after. I have a time constant repeat my computer it's really catchy. Okay more specific with AJ over again I'm a sucker for his voice among other things lol my boys are back minus Kevin although I hear AJ actually claim that Kevin is still very much a part of the group. Either way I'm in for a long ride.

Now will talk about the fall shows that are slated to come back or are new

Kristen Bell (ex- Veronica Mars) landed a role on the hit TV show Heroes. She is also the narrator of the new show Gossip Girl which coincidentally is being shown on the same network and I think it's in the same timeslot that Veronica Mars was on last season in other words I'm sending a great big screw you to the CW network. In support of Kristen and I will watch the show or at least try to without throwing something at my TV.

A new show that is also premiering this season on ABC that I'm excited to see is Private Practice. Private practice is the spin off Gray's anatomy it stars Kate Walsh as Dr. Addison Montgomery. The show's premise is that Addison moves to LA to start over after being dumped by Mark Sloan and her ex-husband Derek Shepherd.

On Gray's Anatomy this season, it's rumored that the patient that was pregnant and had amnesia will be on the show for a few episodes the storyline will obviously be tied to Alex. Izzie and George will deal with their feelings for each other. Since George failed his test to get into his residency George will repeat the internship and with a new batch of the interns coincidentally in other intern turns out to be Meredith's half-sister Lexie who got picked up by Derek in Joe's bar at the end of last season now that were on the subject of Derek and Meredith they are not over there trying to work out their issues or so it's been reported.

Until next time,

comments please

I am only taking one class this semester because I didn't get the work that I have to get done so I'm taking a night class three hours on Wednesday night I know a lot of people in my class and to answer your question No I'm not rushing semester I think you have to be a full-time student in order to do that anyway fine by me I can make more friends with Greeks and non Greeks are able to see what kind of person I am and they might be able to vouch for me later on if I do choose to rush again.

In other news, the Mercer County District Attorney officially dropped the charges against the two administrators from the University. And this was three weeks after they were indicted they should have never been indicted because there was no evidence in the case.

It was just announced today that five people were indicted in the alcohol poisoning related death of a 18-year-old freshman from Long Beach, California. This paternity has officially been disband from rider University's campus. The people that are indicted include the Dean of students and the director of Greek life. Newspapers across the country are covering this story I never thought it would happen at my school. Now I have to wonder whether or not the Greek system is going to be banned from this college campus. I know that it was a horrible accident. But drinking at a fraternity party or at any party is very common for underage students. It is impossible to monitor the 3500 students who go to Rider.

Sorority hopeful

Negative publicity at Rider University

What the hell is going on? I just read a news report that says on the 20th of July rider was closed because of a bomb threat. It only seems like rider is getting negative publicity you guys don't think so well okay there's this incident but there's a more horrific incident that happened last semester to two students one of those students was only 18 years old I don't know about the other student but they were both at a frat party where it they consumed a excessive amount of alcohol. One of those students ended up dead the cause of death was alcohol poisoning the other student was hospitalized and I don't know what happened to that individual. The fraternity in question throws the best parties on campus I have quite a few friends from this fraternity there's speculation that they're going to lose their house and charter because of what happened.

The president has since recommended that individuals be monitored at any social gathering to ensure the safety of all students at a Greek function. There is a possibility that someone will have to live in the fraternity and sorority houses to ensure that this never happens again. I don't know if it's only for the fraternity who are going to be monitored or the sororities as well.

I've been going to rider for years since the fall of 2004. I really haven't been too many Greek parties but I have been through rush a few times at the social sororities. All the Greeks are very nice.. to us "independents" as we are called.

Also I don't think that the fraternities and sororities are the only ones to blame it's a major campus problem and it doesn't just involve the Greek system they need to change the rules regarding alcohol on all of the campuses.

A hopeful individual who wants to join a social sorority..

I still haven't finished all my class I know what you're thinking have you done one? Yes and I got a B- in that class thank you very much. I really want to finish my other classes it's just this one classes one of those classes I owe four essays. The remaining classes I owe work for it's a lot less. However my counselors to finish summer work before I go back to spring classes I guess that makes sense. In other news the New York Yankees lost 13 to 9. Yesterday they won with a score of eight to one and the day before that I they massacred Chicago White Sox with an incredible score of 16 to three. At the present time we are eight games behind the Boston Red Sox and we are in third place (we need to win three games in order to be in first place) for the wild card spot which would get us into the World Series however I still have hope that the Yankees will claim the division title and not the Red Sox.

Summer 07 jersey style
love = comments
so leave one I need to feel the love
