My grandmother and other stuff
Hey everybody,

Where to begin I guess it will be nice to start at the beginning. On Thursday my grandmother was driven to the emergency room prior to Thursday my grandmother had gotten sick again. She wasn't feeling very well and was dizzy and generally speaking rundown with a cold something that she has had quite a few of in the past couple of months that started at the beginning of the week. My aunts made chicken soup for my grandmother the week before when she found out she was sick apparently my grandmother went to the doctor and he prescribed some medicine for her to take a couple days after that she went back to the doctor and got a clean bill of health. The doctor said that she's probably still fighting off whatever she was sick with however it was then anything to worry about she was on the mend however on Friday she was basically incapacitated because she was violently ill so my uncle drove her to the hospital when they got there she was suffering from pneumonia she was so dehydrated that her kidneys shut down on Friday morning I went to class as usual I was worried about my grandmother of course because I knew that she was taken to the emergency room before class even started I found out that she was in the intensive care unit so needless to say I was wanting to get to my grandmother's bedside as soon as I possibly could. When I got there she was wearing a breathing mask that would force oxygen into her lungs she couldn't breathe enough oxygen by herself so they put this mask on her that would force the oxygen into her lungs I stayed there for about two to three hours and shortly after I left I found out that they had put her on a ventilator because her body was not able to sustain itself while fighting off whatever infection she had while they were transferring her onto the ventilator her heart actually stopped beating for about a minute I didn't find out until I got home currently her situation hasn't really changed her kidneys are starting to work again but not as well as they would like so they're going to keep her on a ventilator and keep her sedated. She developed a fever the doctors say that that's a good sign because that means that her body is on the road to recovery since she had been in the hospital they couldn't figure out what exactly her illness was a couple days ago they realize that what she had was the E. coli which can make you very sick if not treated you could actually die from it I don't know how my grandmother got exposed to the bacteria I know that E. coli is in your stomach and that helps with digestion but E. coli is also very bad as well so needless to say my entire family is worried sick about her one person from our family stays with my grandmother and all times the doctors said that it would be good if we did that because she is in critical condition so far she's responding better to the medication so they're trying to lower her dosage but she's still not out of the woods by any means I'm still dealing with the fact that I can't be with her and is very hard for me to do with the fact that my grandmother is on a ventilator. To top it all off I have my midterm on Friday which I am completely not ready for. So as a result this past week and a half has not been a picnic for me and my family

Until next time

I hope you're grandmother is feeling better soon.
Good luck with your midterm! I totally messed mine up last Wednesday, even though I studied for it. Hope you do better than I did!

I'm so sorry, hon.

I hope it all works out and that your week gets better.
